New Blog Post: Lufthansa at 100 - The history of the German flag carrier
Lufthansa is an instantly recognized airline, not just in Europe but around the world. With its expansive route network and diverse fleet, along with the strength of the entire Lufthansa Group, the German flag carrier is well positioned as a leading European airline. In 2026, the airline will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
In this blog post I take a look back at the airline's history and development. From its birth in 1926 to the introduction of jet aircraft into its fleet as well as the challenges it faced due to Covid-19, the airline has clearly impacted the entire aviation industry. The fact that the airline is still around 100 years later is amazing.
