Av Geek Blog Archive Policy
At Av Geek Blog, we will sometimes archive a blog post. In this policy, I will explain why we archive blog posts, when blog posts are archived and how to access archived blog posts.
Why do we archive blog posts?
At Av Geek Blog, we will sometimes archive blog posts for several reasons, including but not limited to the following:
-
The blog post is outdated or irrelevant
-
The blog post has been published for some time
-
The blog post has poor performance and engagement
-
The blog post is deemed as no longer needing to be published
-
Another blog post on the same or similar topic has been published
Other reasons may include: rebranding or content strategy changes, compliance reasons, or the blog post includes seasonal or time-sensitive content.
Please note that we may archive any blog post for any reason based on the discretion of Av Geek Blog.
When do we archive blog posts?
There is no set time for when a blog post is archived. Blog posts will be archived at different times depending on the reason they are being archived.
-
If the blog post is outdated, it will generally be archived if the information in the blog post has been proven to be incorrect. However, some blog posts will not be archived but will be updated. This will be decided by Av Geek Blog on a case-by-case basis.
-
If the blog post has been published for a long time, it will generally be archived after a period of time (generally 3 years) but this period of time will vary based on the blog post.
-
If the blog post has poor performance and engagement, it will be archived based on the decisions of Av Geek Blog.
-
If a blog post is deemed as no longer needing to be published, it will be archived based on the decisions of Av Geek Blog.
-
If a blog post is archived because a blog post on the same or similar topic has been published, it will be archived once the new blog post is published.
Please note that any blog post may be archived at any time with no prior warning based on the decisions of Av Geek Blog.
