Date: July 2025
Departure Airport: Lanzarote Airport (ACE)
Arrival Airport: Dublin Airport (DUB)
Airline: Ryanair
Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX 8-200
This trip report is of a Ryanair flight from Lanzarote to Dublin in July 2025. The reviewer was sitting in economy.

ACE Airport
We started by returning our rented car and walked across the road to the departures area of the airport. The departures were on the first floor while arrivals were on the ground floor. We did not have any hold luggage to check in so we were able to proceed straight to security. The check in desk queue for Ryanair was extremely long and it appeared that it was the only check in desk for all Ryanair flights departing ACE.
The security was very quick. There were not many people there and there was a good number of security lanes open. At security you had to remove electronics and liquids. After security and duty free we used the water refill stations to refill our water bottles.
After security and duty free, the airport opened into a long area with the gates on one side. There was seating in the middle with shops and restaurants on either side. The food places included Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut and more. We had Burger King and were able to sit by the window to watch the planes take off and land.
Our flight back to Dublin was delayed so I had plenty of time to watch the planes. I was able to sit in a seat by a window facing the airport apron and see aircraft taxiing, taking off and landing. I even saw a Jet2 aircraft go around. The airport does have an outdoor viewing area beside gate 12 - unfortunately, by the time I found this out it was time to board our aircraft.

Aircraft
The aircraft was a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 with registration EI-IGK. The aircraft had its own steps for boarding and deplaning and the seats had their own reading light and air vents. We took off from Runway 3. Passengers were able to order food and drinks using the Ryanair app and the crew would bring it directly to your seat. The cabin crew passed through the cabin with drinks, food, duty free and lottery tickets. The aircraft had different coloured lights for mood lighting. These mood lights were blue when landing and orange during the flight and lights were dimmed for takeoff and landing as is normal. Since the flight was delayed, we were scheduled to arrive in Dublin at 00:30 but we landed at around 01:45 on Runway 28L after a three and a half hour flight.

DUB
Once we arrived in Dublin, we deboarded the plane and went through passport control. Since we did not have any hold luggage we were able to exit the airport straight away.
Overall the both airports were clean although it was unfortunate that I did not find out about the ACE outdoor viewing area sooner. The Ryanair aircraft was clean and the staff were professional and friendly.
